On Tuesday the 28th of November we had athletics day I was involved with these activities Shotput,Discus,Long distance (running), Sprints, High jump and long jump. I think I done well in these activities and I was proud of myself because I had awesome results with my running. My favorite part of the day was my running because I love running and I am fit. Quaid's amazing report on rugby

Hi guys today I have write in a report about rugby. I hope you like it please do not hesitate to comment and I will write back to you thanks.

Today I am going to talk about Rugby. Did you know that rugby Is more dangerous than American football? We will talk about that later on. My opinion is that people think that Rugby was born in 1823 I know this because I looked at several site they all said that Rugby started in 1823. I know a lot about Rugby because I am a Rugby player myself.So hold onto your horses I be prepared for your minds to blown on this sporty journey. These rules are going to be strict (hahahahahaha I will stop telling jokes now.

Rules

Now we are going to talk about the rules the rules are not that hard to figure out when your have been playing rugby for about two years like I have been. In Rugby you run with the ball if you get tackled you need to go down to the ground. Once you are on the ground you need to roll the ball to the side the your team is on. The aim of the game is to score a try and get the most points to win the game. Another rule is that have to pass the ball backwards and roll it back.

The ball

With the the ball you need to run with it pass the ball to your team mates and then they might  pass it to the person that is in their team. The point of the game is to score points and drop kick the ball over the posts and score 3 points If you get the ball over the opposition goal line and place the ball down you score five points and this is called a try. Then you kick the ball over the posts and you score two points from that if it goes over.

  Points

Points are good because the team that scores the most points wins the game. To get 5 points you need to score a try to score a try you need teamwork. To get 3 points you need to do a drop goal or get a penalty kick. Dan Carter scored the most points in all time rugby history 1598 points from 2003-2015. I play rugby. I got 200 points this year scoring tries so I scored 40 tries.

Dangerous

Did you know that rugby is more dangerous than grid-iron football? Well if you didn't I am going to explain why. In grid-iron football they have pads on their body to protect themselves and in rugby they don’t and rugby gets more serious injuries. If you are in a ruck you are most likely to get a concussion.   

Conclusion Overall I think that rugby is more dangerous than grid-iron football. Because grid-iron football players have pads on and rugby players don’t. But some people out there probably won’t agree with me until they search it. I had looked at many sites and they all said the same thing. End of swimming

Hi guys last week I posted

a spectacular blog post about swimming. Today is our last day of going swimming at Canterbury Swim School. I feel sad because it my classes last day, and because my Instructor taught me heaps of things to get better at swimming.

My goal was to know how to do the bubble bubble breath and stream line kicking, I completed my goal and will now know how to do it. The most important thing for me was to, practice how to do bubble bubble breath.

Also today we will be doing water safety. We had to wear clothes because If we were in a serious condition we would have clothes on. I had NRL shorts on and a t shirt

Today we went swimming. My whole class went on a bus to Canterbury swim school. Before we had got on the bus we had to get changed into our swimming togs. After we had got into our swimming togs we had morning tea. We had a play after we had eaten. then got on the bus I sat next to my friends Jared and Tom We had a chat before we got there. We had to take our shoes off.  Then we stated our swimming lesson. Our teacher name was jernalle is a great teacher I felt good.  Here is some pictures and videos of me. my goal is to not stop while doing a whole lenth.

Extravganza

Yesterday afternoon we had our big performance called a extravaganza. We were doing this performance at the high school auditorium. Choir they were the first for the  performance they were doing stuff about creation story. For the my groups we did sway a kiwi classic tune by Bic Runga. I was  doing ball room dancing with A girl who was Mikayla. My little cousin called Yazmin she was doing a song called the Lo

Buster the boxer

W.A.L.T term 3 writing buster the boxer For two days we have been writing about Buster the dog, this is my story. I hope you like it do not hesitate  to comment.

I was watching my sister Bailey jump on her extremely bouncy broken bed. It was the night before Christmas and it was bone-chilling  outside. If we went outside we would get lost in the bushes. My mum called me out to the lounge and we had dinner but we didn’t  know were my dad was but then I saw him snug as a bug in a rug in the terrifying darkness outside.

Dad came in to eat dinner because he had finished the smooth bouncy trampoline. I had already finished my dinner before dad came in to eat dinner. I was at the window watching the new shining metal bars reflecting. 2 minutes later there were animals jumping on the smooth new shining trampoline and I thought that those animals were talking about they were looking at me.

“Look at that small dog” the mouse said.

I just started to cry because they were bullying me then it was time for me to go to bed and I had to sleep on my sister bed with her so she didn’t have bad dreams and that morning I had forgotten it was fabulous christmas day.

That morning I got up to have awesome breakfast and it wasn't boring old meat it was yummy pancakes in my bowl of food. Santa must have made us some pancakes man they were yummy and then I saw that it was snowing outside and it was the snow was like little cotton puff balls my sister was still in bed I had a idea I thought that I could go and play on the trampoline I ran outside and jump through the little hole and started to jump my sister Bailey woke up and came outside and looked at me it was like she was surprised that dogs can jump.    

My term 2 creation

W.A.L.T create a model that shares something we have learnt about our mysteries in the past few weeks while we have been learning about a mystery. My mystery was the Bermuda Triangle and I have done a video about it.  It took me a lot of time to do this painting. I felt good that I have finally done this painting. I made this with paint and paint brush, cardboard, skewer, newspaper, normal paper, black paint and white paint. I had to trace a plane off the internet the plane was a flight 19 plane. The Bermuda triangle is in the middle of Florida, Porto Rico Bermuda. Flight 19 has been one of the most important things. Most plane and ships sink because of the weather.

W.A.L.T we learned to write a speach

 In term 2 a have looking at mysteries my mystery was the Bermuda Triangle from all that I have gathered with this mystery have writ in a speech about my mystery.

Cultural show

This term we have been looking at different cultures. For the last 3 weeks we have  been learning a traditional cultural dance. I learnt the haka. I felt nervous because  I was in front of an audience but I felt good after.

My first trip

On Friday three classes went to Spencer park for art at school and to have a fun trip together. I was looking forward to going on my first school trip of the year. All of the classes lined up on the court and waited for the the bus to get to school

The bus turned up and we got on the bus.  I sat by my friends and we had a chat. I sat beside Jasper, Tom,and Hunter. We went past the airport. We started to talk about what we were going to do when get there. Me and Jasper said that we were going to go make a hut.

I was in group 4d I was with my old teacher from last year Miss Scott. And Whaea Heather. At Spencer park, we put our bags down. My group started to walk over to the lagoon walk with Miss Scott. There were spider nests where the spiders babies hide to look after them. So the the other insects.

I learnt that spiders had nested for their babies.I really enjoyed my day at Spencer park I hope to go again next time. I loved the wildlife tracks. I walked with my friend on the wildlife tracks there were heaps of bird and native insects.

Beach art

 In art we made a sculpture mine is called it  'The fishalishes' I made my fishing raft I needed a bottle to 5 sticks a piece of string some ho glue a short sticks  here  is some photos. I calld my sculpture the fishalishes' becuase it has a fishing rood on it

In Ako Ngatahi we had to write a narrative about a video. It was about a boy opening a present that was a dog with three legs. Here is the video of the present. I hope you enjoy my story.

I was playing my video games “boom, boom, bang, bang” it went. Knock, knock. My mum was home.

“Hi Mum” I said.

“Please turn that down and I got a present for you”.

“Put it in my way mum”.

“Open it”.

“Ok”.

Rip, rip. A puppy!

“Thanks mum”.

I picked it up.”Yuck, it’s got a broken leg”.

Woof, woof.

I throw it away. It found a red ball. It ran at the cupboard. Ouch! Then it grabbed the ball and ran over to me with the ball. I kicked it into the box. The dog ran to the box and it fell on top of the dog and it walked around in the box. Then it finally found its way out then put the ball in it’s mouth then walked over to me and dropped the ball. I thought I will go outside and play with it so I grabbed the ball and put it in my pocket and got my crutches and said to mum “We will be outside I opened the door a we bit and the dog did some then we went outside. I wish I went out sooner. My dog is just like me.  We are going to be good friends.
