Welcome back to another blog post.

The summer learning journey is happening during the holidays and this is one of my activities. We were choosing the types of foods we would take with us on a three week boat trip. Specifically, a Hawaiian canoe. This is what it looks like.

Here a 10 foods that I would take on the boat trip.

Dark Protein Chocolate - Lasts and fills you up. It also is a great energy source when you are working hard.

Dried Fruit - Its light an not heavy for storing and carrying. It is also really yummy and give you heaps of energy.

Freeze Dried Vegetables - its healthy and yummy. Its good for a meal and really light and fills you up heaps.

Potato Flakes - There small and easy to et on big trips and fill you up because it is a vegetable= and veges fill you up.

Muesli Bars - They are quick and easy and they have nuts oats and more. I like the ones with the chocolate because it fill me up.

Nuts and Raisins - again they are quick and easy to eats and they almost don't go out of date because they are used to sit around for a while.

Chips - They aren't that healthy but they are good for trips and are really yummy with dip but that goes mouldy after a while.

Caned beef - Caned stuff almost never runs out of date and meat it is really good for you because it is meat.

Caned fruit - fruit is also good for you if you haven't eating well for a couple of days and the juice has a lot of energy.

Oats - again it fills you up but as well you can eat it for breakfast by its self.

Surfs up

Hi guys welcome back to another blog post,

Today I am going to go to talk about what I have been doing with EOTC. EOTC is a week were we go out and do some activities this year we did surfing. I loved surfing and especially the part when me and my friend Truby cought a wave and we were raming each other. I really enjoyed EOTC week and all the fun that we had. I am going to the high school next year and they do it twice a year instead once a year. A funny moment was when the wind was pushing me and my board over. I got pushed over in the water from the massive waves.

Writing

Hi guys welcome back to another blog post,


Today I have got some writing that I have done. I have trying to get this writing perfect for my blog.  I have tryed so hard on this and put a lot of effort into it to get it to this standerd. I have got highlighted bits on this writing blog and I have got a challenge for you.

 The challenge that I have got is you have to guess what colours the strategies are in the writing. Good luck.
My Walt is W.A.L.T  Use my six senses to describe, characters, places, feelings etc. 


Here it is...

‘I could hear the thunder, booming in the sky. Suddenly the lights went out and the room went pitch black. I scrambled out of bed and got my daughter and chucked her over my shoulder. I stumbled down the stairs just with my finger tips touching the rail, the thought that lightning could strike any moment was chilling my mind.

I went down in the forbidden basement and light a candle. It was pitch black apart from the candle lighting our way.No one has been down her for over 70 years. All that was down there was some bikes that my dad worked on and a descrastful washing machine. I could taste the fear in my mouth. “Oh yuck” there were dead rats down there as well. I placed a blanket down and put my daughter on it to keep her shielded, secure and warm.

I was trying to get my daughter to go back to sleep so she doesn't see what happens outside of the house. The thunder and the lightning was keeping me unfocused from her. She then got out of the blanket and walked to the window.

We both looked out the window and said “Wow”. The lightning was different colours now it was fascinating. The sky was rumbling like the bloodbottler stomach but we weren't afraid anymore and were not hesitant to go outside to all the lightning and the thunder.

Update of Zena

Hi guys welcome  back to another blog post,

Today I have a update of my dog zena. If you don't remember who zena is she is my lovely dog that almost weighs more than me.

 Zena is a Rottweiler and Rottweilers grow really fast and are really strong built dogs. I have been taking zena out places and sometimes taking her for walks around the block.

My dog got fixed yesterday so she can't have baby's. We are looking to get another Rottweiler but we need to train her first and get used to other dogs.

My weekend

Today I have a blog post about my weekend. In the weekends I went to a water hole with my family. We shared a picnic from the BBQ the night before. I went with my dog zena. I have previously blogged about zena. I will have some photos of me at the water whole later on.


 There was an rope swing that you could swing of into the water. I had so much fun at the water hole.

Halloween

Today's blog post is about Halloween. Halloween is a time of year where you dress up in a costume and you go around people houses asking them for candy.

You might think this is not a really good idea because they could put something in the candy. The safest option is to go to people houses that you know. This year I didn't have anybody come to my house because I live in a area where not many kids live.  Tell me what you did for Halloween and if any body came to your house. If your house was decorated for Halloween then post a picture of it.

Flower show

Hi guys,

Today I have a got a quick blog post about what is  going on in Christchurch. The Flower show is coming up this Saturday The 2nd of November. My class is participating in it by painting flowers. This is going to happen at Riccarton High School. There are going to be heaps or art work there and heaps of activities. My Writing

Today I have a blog about my writing.  With my writing I had to make it so I had to use more "ing" words. The reason I had to use more "ing" words is because it makes your writing stronger and powerful.

Our WALT for writing is
W.A.L.T

• Write in past progressive tense
• Use powerful action verbs
• only include what is powerful, meaningful and important

“No, no, no!” I was sliding back into the dream.I was gasping struggling to breathe also thumbing through the place between.  I was creaking trying to scream for help. I was sniffing like a poor dog. I was trying to get out of the dream but I couldn't it was like a vacuum cleaner it kept sucking me in. I was in the place between. I didn't know what to do. I was trying to wake up still strugiling. I got stuck in the sheets

Writing 2.O

Today I have a updated my writing from Tuesday after following on some feedback. This is my writing that I have done. A massive shout out to my teacher Miss D for making all this learning happen and making my writing stronger with the feedback.

Everything about her was a lie. We don't know why but her whole life was a lie. she became famous when all of the actors saw that she was just a lie. They thought to themselves"how can you just be a lie" 

She went inside to everyone standing there asking her questions about her life wondering how she is a lie.She thought, “Why are they asking me questions? I am just a normal person in the normal world". But then she said to everyone in the room that she was a millionaire but that was a lie. 

She didn't know how to stop the lies because her brain was too overpowered . She went to her friend's house thinking that she would understand everything but guess what her friend was a lie.

Today I have a piece of writing like last week except this week we had a starter for our story and I used the one in the writing.


eWe had this bar up the top and if you stopped writing for more than three second then you fail the test. you have to write for 2 minutes straight. This help you to know Ideas straight away.

Athletics

I have just started athletics and I would like to update you on my blog. I have done two practises at the moment and I can't wait to do more.

There is a competition were the teacher select certain people for certain thing and then they go through to zones. Zones is a place were all the people who made it through they go there and compete against other schools.

I have been enjoying long jump, long distance running and high jump. please give me some feed back on what you like to do with athletics and I will keep you updated on what is happening and if I make it through.

Swimming

Maths DLO

Hi guys welcome back to another blog post .

 Today I have a DLO that I made with a buddies Tom. We are learning to convert fractions into decimals. This is really fun and very interesting as well. Once you get into the stratigie that you know right away what the answer is.

I created a google drawing with Tom. I put the questions on the drawing so in the comment leave a comment if you think you know the answers for each question. There are six and if you answer all six then you are awesome

Hotspot Writing

Today I have a blog post about my writing that I have done I have some words that I had to put in the challenge. The reason we were doing this challenge is to see were we put our adjectives. My shoes were soaked and the rain wouldn’t stop. A grey car I didn’t recognise pulled up beside me. The fragile wheels were barely holding the car up straight. I was disillusioned when the guy looked at me and said “get in”. I couldn't see inside the car because the windows were shaded.  think he liked me because I was dressed exquisitely. The blustery wind was blowing my dress. I was shocked with fear because some random pulled up beside me asking me to get into his car. I looked again to see my brother driving the car.

This morning Miss D tought how to get our number for our blog post this year . We done this on google sheets and this is quite shocking for me my new goal for my blog is trying to get at least seven a month if not more.
