SLJ Practice: Fun in mud

Technology

Hi guys welcome back to my blog.

 My W.A.L.T  is  design and recreate a food package that will reduce waste. For the past term we have been learning about Technology we have to design and create food rappers in our lunchboxes. The reason we are doing this because our native animals endanger because most of New Zealand has got a lot of rubbish laying around in our country. I have been making a reusable and biodegradable plastic container for boys and girls.

End of year test

Hi guys welcome back to my blog.Today my Walt W.A.l.T to practise our PAT test.  At the start of the year I done a test that is called the PAT comprehension tests and the STAR tests. I have been practising this for the past 2 weeks. At the start of the year I thought that I had done a good job I have got a stanine 7 for reading and stanine is a rating out of the tests. My goals in to do 1 stanine better so i can improve on my learning.

Hi guys, welcome back to my blog today I some feedback on my witting.  I have been learning about the body and I was learning about a system called the muscular system. This system is a system with muscles in it. You might think that but it isn't there is more in there. There is more then 650 muscles in your body. Some of your muscles show and some don't. Firstly, I think that The most critical system is the muscular system because you heart is a muscle and if you didn’t have your heart you wouldn't be able pump blood around your body. If you wouldn’t be able to pump blood around your body you would die instantly. That's why I think that the muscular system is the most critical system in your body.

Almost got kicked out of school today. Why? For carrying a 6 pack and 2 guns. A 6 pack is a group of muscles in your body . 2 guns is the muscles in your arm. The six pack also lets you move your body around with other muscles. I think that the muscular system is the most critical system in your body.

Harry Potter

Body system 2

This week I have been learning about 4 different body system. Today I have got a W.A.L.T for you my W.A.L.T is W.A.L.T explain what different body system are and how they work. The body systems that we have been learning about are the Digestive system, Nervous system, Respiratory system and the Musculoskeletal system. I have got some question and I will answer them for you. What is the purpose of the digestive system? The purpose of  it is that it give us nutrients for our body. The nervous system. The purpose is that it gives us messages from our brain and to our brain. The purpose of the Respiratory system. The purpose is that our lungs help us breath and the oxygen in the air help the organs live. The Musculoskeletal system. The purpose of this is we need muscles to help us move around and do things. Last game of Rugby

Last Saturday I had my last game of rugby. I was so excited because I love playing Rugby with my friends. I got up and had my breakfast I have some weetbix for Rugby because they give me heeps of energy. We drove to were I was playing. We were going up against the best team in my grade the were a very good rugby team so we had to try our best. We started to play the scored the first try and then we scored as well we kicked the ball over the post. We scored again our defence you couldn't get through us we were good. But at that point we started to get tired and they scored and again again and had got most of there kicks over the post. We strikedback  with a very good d line and we scored a rugby try. By then it was the end of the game we had lost but we all had fun.

My character writing

Hi guys welcome back to my blog today I have a writing blog post. This is a description about my character that I have made. my character that I have made is called a Maxadons. I hope you like my writing and you learn something from it. Here it is.


 Maxedon is a fantasy mythical creature that lives on my world that i have created.

Maxdons have a special Mohawk to keep them warm and because it is green so it can camouflage in my world.  I have green and red stripes for my skin colour. Maxadons have some glasses because my characters are smart and are cool.

Maxadons don’t have a nose because Maxadons have a sense of smell through my mouth.  Maxadons have wings for my transport so Maxadons can get around the place. Maxdons have two eyes that are blue and the other is green.  

Maxadons live In a habitat that Is green gas there is tree on my world and There is cars and trucks on there. My world doesn't have gas stations on them. Green gas makes the cars drive and Maxdons drive the cars around if they don’t have wings.

 

overall . If this was a real world  everybody would want to live on this because it is spectacular.  There wouldn't be overpopulation because my world is huge.

The three little pigs

Yesterday me and my class had a task about the three little pigs. The three little pigs are a famous story and its about a wolf that comes along hungry and finds some pigs. he thinks yum some pigs for dinner and he huffs and he puffs and he blows the straw house down and he ate the pig that was inside it. He went walking and he was still hungry and he thought what if there is another pig around here. He was right there was so he huffed and huffed and he blew the house down and ate the pig. He said to himself I have got some room left in my tummy for desert so he went looking for another pig and he saw a pig in a brick house so he huffed and puffed huffed and he puffed but he couldn't blow the house down and he ran away and all the pigs lived happily ever after. From this evidence I have found a different way of putting it and what might of happened to the parents before the story started the might of had it to them when the parents were younger. .Please do not hesitate to comment and have a good day.Bye

For the past few weeks I have been learning about protagonists and antagonists. A protagonists is the main charterer in a story for example in The three little pigs the third little pig is the protagonist. An antagonist is the villain in the story. In The three little pigs story the wolf is the villain because he is trying to eat the third little pig. This is what a protagonists is and an antagonist is.They were two different stories by the authors and by two different sides of the stories. Amazing Genius Hour

Hi guys 

For the last 5 weeks I have been doing genius Hour. Genius Hour is a time that we get to pick an activity like coding, sewing, lego construction, lego stop motion and construction. My subject is construction. For my construction I am making a bird house. I really like making my bird house because it is some time for me to have some fun and also spend time doing things I will do when I am older. I am doing this genius Hour project with my friend Tom. Tom is a really good person to work with we don't argue much witch is good. The reason I have written this blog post is because I need some tips about how to not split the wood when I am nailing the nails in. Please leave helpful tips for me and write them down below.

Digital Ignition

Hello today I went to my last lesson of digital Ignition. Digital Ignition is a place were you can learn how to code. I very much like coding so I was pretty good at it. At digital Ignition there was a lady called Lyn. There was coding called binary search. With the binary search you had to flip card up that go to 38 and you would flip them up ital they were in order from 2 38. my opinion about dinosaurs in new zealand

Hi guys today I have done another DLO this DLO is my opinion about what sort of dinosaurs would live longer in New Zealand. I have been studying about witch Dinosaur would have lived longer in New Zealand my opinion was that Theropods would have lived longer in new Zealand because they were fast and agile.   I have been doing this for about a week. biathlon

Yesterday, Wednesday March 14th we all dis our biathlon at school. I competed in the Year 5 Boys team. I had brought my Bike to school to ride in the biathlon. We had to ride around our court 4 times and run around our field 2 times. Out of the boys I had came 5th place. I was really proud of myself because there were heaps of boys competing in the race. My Mum came to watch me race and took some great photo's of me biking and running. She was proud of me. Here is a video of me trialing the biathlon again please do not hesitate to comment. my fabulous diorama

Finally I have finished my diorama after 9 weeks of doing it with my friends Khaylanie,Tom and me. We worked so hard together to get this finished and now that we have finally finished it looks amazing. We worked so hard to finish this with only 6 materials. We used cotton balls, hot glue, colored card, clay and match sticks with no red end. Here is my photo.

cyco gita

Cyclone Gita

Cyclone Gita hit somoa,Tonga and new Zealand. Tonga got hit the worst by Cyclone Gita. Me and my dad got a we bit worried so we filled our water tank up to the top and put a tap in the middle of the tank so we could get some water out of it is a 5 gallons of water. Me and my mum went out to get a survival kit.cyclone gita didn't hit Hornby hard but in town river got over fulled. Here is a video of Nelsons flooding. Please do not hesitate to comment.:)  

kicking of the year

Today is my first post of the year what I enjoyed this week was hanging out with my friends and my teachers. We have three brand new people that are in our class. They are pretty cool people one of them is my friend. The best part of the year that I am looking forward to is winter sports because I like playing rugby. 

I like going swimming because its a good time to catch up with my friends. 

I enjoyed watching Elgrego the fabulous magician. I loved all of his tricks. My favourite trick was when he made someone float in the air. I liked the trick where he popped the bird out of the painting. He had an awesome helper Ben.
